Ertugrul IHLAMUR was born on February 21, 1956 in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Pertevniyal High School in 1974 and received B.A. degree in finance at the Faculty of Business Management of Istanbul University in 1978 and M.A. in Production Management in 1979. In 1980, he began to work at Garanti Bankasi as Auditor. Between 1983 and 1984, he worked at Interbank and moved to Iktisat Bank in 1984, where he worked with the audit team, later to take on the responsibilities in Operations and Marketing. In 1989 he joined Demirbank to take over the Marketing and Credit Department. He became Executive Vice President in charge of Corporate Banking in 1991, after serving as the manager of the Main Branch Office. Between 1995 and 2000, he was assigned as the Board Member in charge of Corporate and Commercial Banking. During his tenure at Demirbank, he took the leadership role in re-structuring program of the Bank. In 2000, he joined Iktisat Bank, as the Board Member in charge of Corporate Banking. He has "Independent Auditor's Certificate" from the Republic of Turkey Public Oversight Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority. He also has "Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor" licence from the Union of chambers of certified public accountants and sworn-in certified public accountants of Turkey. He is now one of the Managing Directors of Ihlamur & Oguz Financial Advisory.
In Memoriam : Tanju Oğuz :

Tanju Oğuz, the founding and named partner of Ihlamur & Oğuz, passed away on March 8,2017 after a short fight against cancer. He was 52. Tanju was an esteemed colleaque and an extraordinary friend. He can be described as colourful,charismatic, intelligent, ambitious and full of integrity.But, he was so much more. He had an incredible ability to touch people on so many levels. Tanju OGUZ was born on December 6, 1964 in Ankara. He graduated from Stuttgart American High School in 1982. He received his B.A. degree in Economics at the Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics at Ankara. After working as Research Assistant at SESRTCIC (Statistical, Economic and Social Research Centre for Islamic Countries) in Ankara between 1986 and 1988, he joined the Central Bank of Turkey. In 1989 he moved to Bahrain to join Citibank Treasury, Derivatives Unit. In 1994, he returned to Turkey and joined the Doguş Group to set up and manage the Treasury Department of the newly found Garanti Investment Bank. In 1995, he was assigned to Bank Ekspres, a middle size commercial bank owned by the same Group, as the Executive Vice President in charge of Treasury and Financial Institutions Department. Following the acquisition of the Ottoman Bank in 1996 by the Group, he was posted as the Executive Vice President Treasury and Financial Institutions Department, where he later, also took the responsibilities of the Custody and the Corporate Banking Departments. In 2001, he joined Iktisat Bank, as the CEO and President.

He will be remembered as a great partner of the company, a beloved colleague and adviser, and a steadfast friend to so many.
